22.03.1997 Defenders Alton Thelwell and Ledley King on schoolboy forms played well, but the team’s performance lacked the necessary quality to beat Wycombe Wanderers at Molins Sports FC in a 0-0 draw.

Spurs created a couple of chances early in the match, with Wayne Vaughan going around the keeper, but then hitting the post, but the game deteriorated into both sides launching long balls forward that brought no reward.
