Arsenal Under-18s Premier U18 League Away Won 4-1
Spurs Under-18s scored a convincing 4-1 win at London Colney against Arsenal to go second in the Premier U18 League table thanks to two goals in each half.
.A clinical opener from Reiss Elliott-Parris was added to by George Feeney as we opened up a 2-0 lead inside 19 minutes at London Colney, with Feeney doubling his tally at the start of an impressive second-half showing to put the game out of the Gunners’ reach.
.Emerson Nwaneri capitalised on a mistake at the back to get Arsenal off the mark against the run of play in the 84th minute, but Miracle Adewole quickly replied with his first goal of the season on the counter-attack to round off a superb 4-1 win.
An early Oliver Boast cross was cut out before it could reach Elliott-Parris and then two combined again, with Boast’s pass allowed Elliott-Parris to produce a cool low finish into the bottom corner to put Spurs 1-0 ahead in the sixth-minute.
Dylan Thompson made a good save to deny Brando Bailey-Joseph and it was pivotal, as George Feeney then took Tye Hall’s long pass under his control and took it away from keeper Khari Ranson before slotting the ball into the net from a narrow angle.
Arsenal hit the bar as they sought a way back into the match with Ceadach O’Neill’s effort from distance rattled the crossbar, but turning around 2-0 ahead, Spurs soon went about adding to the advantage they had over the home team. Miracle Adewole was too high with a good opportunity, but it was only a temporary reprieve for the Gooners, as Oliver Boast was again the architect, as his ball in from the right wing picked out Feeney, on the 18 yard line and his shot unerringly found the net.
Spurs continued on the front foot and Adewole brought a low save from Ranson and when Tyler Tingey found substitute Armend Muslika with a diagonal pass, his shot went just wide of the goal. An avoidable mistake at the back gave Nwaneri a chance that he took with six minutes remaining. It was of little consequence, as Spurs cleared a corner and broke away with Adewole running from inside the Tottenham half with no red shirt anywhere to be seen to find the net and complete the 4-1 victory. Even then, the margin could have been wider, with Elliott-Parris having failed to score with two good openings in added time.

Spurs Under-18s were behind in this match with Arsenal in the U18 Premier League early on, but came back and despite hitting the woodwork three times could not find a winner under leaden skies at Hotspur Way.
Having gone a goal down in seven minutes when O’Neill found the bottom corner of the Spurs net finishing Ibrahim’s cross when the ball was won as it was being played out form the back, but Spurs responded with a 39th minute goal from Luca Williams-Barnett to take the sides into the break all square when the Spurs forward’s free-kick went under the wall and beat keeper Porter.
A minute into the second half, Oliver Boast stole the ball off just to the right of the side of the penalty area and the referee had no doubt about pointing to the spot and Luca Williams-Barnett sent the keeper the wrong way in the 48th minute. Tottenham nearly added to their total when Williams-Barnett bent in a free-kick which was a little too high for the white shirts attacking the ball.
When an Arsenal free-kick was cleared out of the box, Murisa hit a shot that took a massive deflection to fly past Dylan Thompson to make it 2-2.
There was an incident in the centre-circle that ended with George Feeney and Marli Salmon squaring up to each other, holding each other’s shirts, before the other players all piled in, so, after consultation with both linesmen, it ended with a red card for both players. After the dismissals, Arsenal dropped back into a low block, while Tottenham enjoyed the majority of possession.
Just after the hour, both sides made changes, and with 20 minutes to go, substitute Armend Muslika set up a chance for Tye Hall, who dug out a shot that rattled back off the crossbar as the rain pelted down. From a corner soon after that, Eli Upson headed down and saw the ball come out off the post.
The horrendous conditions continued which didn’t help play, but when the ball was played down the left wing, King tripped Muslika as he turned past him and the ref pulled out a second yellow that saw the Arsenal full back walk and leave them with nine men for the final few minutes of added time. In the fourth minute of added time, Muslika cracked a left footed shot from the left corner of the box that once again saw the woodwork deny Spurs a goal and the match ended 2-2.

Under-18 Premier League Away Drew 4-4
A match crammed in at the end of Tottenham’s busy season brought a welcome point with a goal deep, deep into added time at the end of the match at Arsenal’s training ground.
Ellis Lehane had got Tottenham off to a flying start with a goal in the second minute, finishing with his left foot from close range at the far post after being set up by Luca Williams-Barnett leaving a Tynan Thompson ball in from the left. Luca then had a chance of his own that went wide and had another effort blocked before Samuel Archer had to save from a Harriman-Annous shot towards the top corner. Dowman pulled the home side level with a shot from outside the box that went into the bottom corner of the Spurs goal. Ibrahim went close, with Dowman having another shot blocked until they finally found the net again in the 16th minute, as Onyekachukwu put a shot past Archer from the middle of the penalty area.
Arsenal were in the ascendancy at this point, but failed to make more of chances for Copley and Onyekachukwu while Archer got down to his right to keep out a low drive from Sweet. Spurs couldn’t hold out and with 28 minutes on the clock, Ibrahim scored from outside the box after being teed up by Dowwman. There were chances at both ends before George Feeney fired a shot into the top corner of the net from the opposite corner of the box to make it 3-2 forty-one minutes in after a corner was poorly cleared. A minute later Tottenham were level with Tynan Thompson assisting for Jun’ai Byfield to shoot in from the right side of the six yard box after Spurs took a quick free-kick. The action wasn’t over, because Copley hit the bar with a header before Zecevic-John scored from outside the box to make it 4-3 at half-time after a determined run.
Spurs started sprightly after the break and Luca Williams-Barnett was denied by a save from Porter, Feeney headed over when well-placed and then Williams-Barnett struck the bar with a rising shot, but Archer made a flying save to push a Casey shot onto the post. The open game brought opportunities at each end with Luca and Samal Bangura having Tottenham’s best chances. Towards the last ten minutes of the match, Tottenham pushed on looking for an equaliser, as Elliott-Parris had a shot blocked, Byfield’s header went just wide and Jamel Beggs shot was saved as it arrowed towards the top corner, being pushed up onto the bar and Williams-Barnett’s follow-up header hitting the post and then having a shot that was saved at the foot of the post.
As the game got near 90 minutes, Hardy and Byfield both had chances, but then, for the second time this season Onyekachukwu was sent off against Spurs in added time, again for a foul on Reiss Elliott-Parris, pulling him back by his shirt when he got the ball away from the hapless defender. From the resulting free-kick, Luca missed the target on this occasion, but Tottenham earned a welcome point from a 100th minute goal by Beggs, from Miracle Adewole’s pass, he fired the ball in from outside the box with a deflection helping to beat the home keeper.

Under-18 Premier League Home Won 6-4
Spurs Under-18s won a goal-fest at Hotspur Way against Arsenal 6-4 in the U18 Premier League South
A goal by Harriman-Annous gave the visitors the lead in the third-minute having converted a low ball from Washington, but Tynan Thompson was causing problems, forcing the keeper to tip one shot over the bar and then hitting the near post with a low effort. It was striker Ellis Lehane who levelled with 12 minutes gone when he was presented with the ball by a poor pass from the Arsenal keeper Porter.
Onyekachukwu thought he had scored with a header, but was offside, but halfway through the first half, Luca Williams-Barnett put Tottenham ahead, taking Jun’ai Byfield’s perceptive through ball set him free to pick out the top corner from 25 yards out. A double from Casey looked like the away side would turn around 3-2 ahead, but on the stroke of half-time, Jun’ai Byfield pulled Spurs back level following a corner that he drilled home. Tottenham had been indebted to Samuel Archer, who made some brave saves to keep the score at 3-2 before Byfield’s goal.
Spurs then took hold of the match, with a solo goal from Tynan Thompson, twisting and turning and taking the ball into the box before lifting a shot over the diving keeper in the 59th minute. Archer and Byfield combined to keep out Copley at the other end and then Malachi Hardy put us into a 5-3 lead with just fifteen minutes left when he headed home Harry Byrne’s corner at the near post.
A penalty was awarded to Arsenal in the 81st minute when Byrne was adjudged to have fouled Dowman and it was converted by Casey, giving them hopes of a getting a point from the match. If it hadn’t been for Hardy throwing himself in front of a Dowman shot and blocking it with his face things might have been different, but those hopes evaporated a minute into added time, when Onyekachukwu was sent off for hauling down Reiss Elliott-Parris just outside the box. To add insult to the red card, Williams-Barnett then dispatched the free-kick into the top corner to seal a remarkable 6-4 victory.

Premier League 2 Away Won 5-2
Despite going 0-2 behind, Spurs Under-21s turned the match around to thrash Arsenal at Meadow Park, Borhamwood.
Starting strongly, the home side fashioned a chance when Ismail Oulad M’Hand brought a good save from Aaron Maguire with a shot from the edge of the area, followed shortly after by Alfie Dorrington clearing off the line and Maguire saving the follow-up effort. Arsenal keeper Nygaard had to hurriedly paw away a hanging cross from Yusuf Akhamrich that looked as though it would deceive him and drop in with another cross from the same player, played in fast and low this time, just too far in advance of three Spurs players advancing into the area.
In the second phase from a cleared corner Forde headed the home team ahead from close range in the 18th minute and when another corner was played back in, Nichols shot straight at Maguire, but it became 2-0 when Rosiak scored direct from a free-kick from just outside the area with 35 minutes on the clock.
Tyrese Hall hit a shot over the bar, when Rio Kyerematen had won the ball high up the pitch and then Hall almost caught out the keeper with a swirling cross, but it was saved and Maguire reacted really well to push a close range shot onto the post in injury time.
The second half was as different to the first as you could imagine. Inside the first minute of the restart, Alfie Dorrington’s searching ball down the left allowed Akhamrich to cross to where Jaden Williams directed his header over the bar, but a Tottenham goal came three minutes later. When Leo Black played a ball into the area, Tyrese Hall was alert to it and nudged it home, getting to it before the keeper. And then, within a minute, Spurs were level, with Black and Akhamrich working well on the left wing to put a ball to the far post, where Max Robson timed his run to perfection to head in from close range.
The match had swung Tottenham’s way and Arsenal could not cope. Hall took on a gaggle of red shirts and found Damola Ajayi with a square ball resulting in a shot that brought a good stop by Nygaard, but Spurs pressed high, won it back and from the right, a ball to the far post was finished neatly by Callum Olusesi to give Tottenham the lead in the 61st minute.
Chance after chance was created as Spurs over-ran Arsenal. Kyerematen was unlucky to see his shot take a flick off a defender and go wide, Hall and Williams were just behind a cross that flew across goal, Hall was denied by the advancing keeper when one-on-one, Ajayi shot too high and then Williams pulled a shot that was off target.
Another example of the high press paying off came in the 82nd minute, as Jaden Williams won the ball, ran into the box and shot low across Nygaard into the bottom corner to make it 4-2. Time and again, Arsenal were caught in possession trying to play the ball out and when Hall nicked the ball off a defender, he played a square ball to Damola Ajayi to curl a shot inches over the far corner of the goal from 20 yards out. In added time at the end of the second half, Ajayi was denied again when the keeper thwarted him when clean through on goal, but Williams showed good skill to turn his marker, advance into the box and play the ball across the area for Max McKnight to chop the ball inside, dump a defender on his backside and stroke home into the bottom corner to round off a wonderful come-back 5-2 victory over a side who crumbled in the second half.

Spurs Under-18s crashed 1-4 at London Colney against Arsenal.
Omari Benjamin scored in five minutes with a swerving shot and then beat Luca Gunter at his near post in the 18th minute to give the home side a 2-0 lead. An angled drive from the right gave the striker his hat-trick in the 24th minute and only a good save by Luca Gunter stopped another from Benjamin.
Jaden Williams had two shots, but lacked power to trouble the Arsenal keeper, who then had to be alert to stop Yusuf Akhamrich when he was through one-on-one. The ball was played out and as the game went on Jahziah Linton crashed into a tackle, which brought all the players into a melee, with Linton shown a yellow for the tackle and another for being involved in the brawl, seeing red, while Kacurri got a yellow for his part in the melee.
The second half was a struggle with 10 men, but Spurs dug in and owed Gunter a debt of gratitude for a smart reaction save to stop a low cross being diverted into his own goal by a touch from a Spurs player. Substitute Mikey Moore played in a corner just after the hour and Damola Ajayi was on the end of it to pile a shot into the roof of the net.
Tiring playing with a man short, Arsenal grabbed a fourth goal when Gunter saved, but Nwaneri planted the ball back past him. The score stayed the same with the Spurs keeper denying Ferdinand and then Nwaneri could only hit the post as time ticked out.

Spurs Under-18s fought back from 0-2 down only to be robbed of a point by Arsenal towards the end of the game at London Colney.
While Tottenham had trouble to get into the game, Arsenal took advantage with Charles Sagoe Junior coming in off the right wing to shoot across Luca Gunter to find the net after a corner had been cleared in the eighth minute. The scorer was involved in their second goal, with a cross that gave Khayon Edwards the simple task of scoring from close range with 21 minutes on the clock.
A better start to the second period saw Spurs on the attack, with Rio Kyerematen surging forward from the halfway line to get the ball back from an attempted pass and hit a shot that was blocked. The loose ball was collected by Thomas Bloxham outside the area and he beat the keeper with his shot to make it 1-2 after 54 minutes. Kyerematen threatened again with a shot from the edge of the box and debutant Jayden Meghoma rushed his shot when well-placed in the area and hit the side-netting. Substitute Billy Heaps was instrumental in fashioning Tottenham’s equaliser, when he intercepted a pass as the home defence tried to play the ball out from the back and found Jaden Williams in the box, who turned his man while receiving the ball and buried the ball into the bottom corner of the net from a few yards out.
Arsenal hit back and Luca Gunter made a fine save shortly after the equalising goal, but with 15 minutes left, Sweet crossed for Edwards to glance a header down past the Spurs keeper for the deciding goal.

Spurs edged a tight game against Arsenal by a single goal at Spurs Lodge. There was little pattern to the play, as both teams shut each other down quickly, but the visitors had the better opportunities in the match, but Jordan Archer was in good nick in goal to keep them out.
Paul McBride hit a shot over the top early into the second period, with Alex McQueen just unable to reach a ball in front of goal after a scramble in front of the net towards the end.
In between, Tapping had scored in the 77th minute, following a defensive lapse by the Arsenal defenders and it was enough to end the game 1-0 to the Tottenham.

Spurs were denied a win against Arsenal by a last minute flukey equaliser in this Academy League meeting at London Colney. The home team had taken the lead from a tenth minute free-kick which was curled in and although Tottenham had had chances before the goal, they continued to create openings, with Paul Jose M’Poku being brought down in the box to allow Dean Parrett to delicately chip the spot-kick into the middle of the goal with the Arsenal goalkeeper having committed himself.
Into the second half, Tottenham went ahead with 15 minutes remaining, as M’Poku released John Bostock and his slick finish gave Spurs the advantage. Bostock had another chance, which went begging and although Spurs looked in charge, a free kick with time ticking away was pumped into the box and the ball went in after a couple of deflections to give the home side an ill-deserved equaliser.

A single goal won the FA Premier Academy League final for Arsenal at White Hart Lane.
A feisty start saw Tottenham have the first effort on goal, with Danny Rose’s seventh minute strike going wide, after he outstripped Coquelin, then shortly afterwards, Obika dispossessed Cruise and hit a tame shot at the Arsenal goal. Oscar Jansson was then called into action when he plunged to his left to keep out Sunu’s drive from 18 yards out. Murphy chipped over Jansson, but also over the bar and the Spurs keeper was again diving low to keep the score-line blank, as he palmed Lansbury’s volley wide.
On the half hour, Nathan Byrne tried his luck from 25 yards, but it went wide of the goal and ten minutes later, it was the Spurs goal that was under threat, as Jansson saved Coquelin’s header and Danny Rose kicked the loose ball away from in front of the goal. Five minutes before the break, Byrne was robbed of the ball by Lansbury. allowing the Arsenal forward a clear run on goal, but he was inaccurate with his shot that went wide with only Jansson to beat.
Into the second half, the only goal of the game came five minutes in. Frimpong won a midfield challenge and sent the ball wide to Sunu, who put a low ball into the goalmouth, where it was knocked in by Murphy from five yards out. it could have been 2-0 on the hour, when Sunu again played a low cross into the box, but Eastmond missed his kick completely to give Spurs a let-off.
A 70th minute break into the Spurs penalty area by Thomas saw Jansson rush out to block his shot, but the ball went up in the air and was heading in until Calum Butcher recovered to head it out. Spurs might have felt that they had a better chance of getting back into the game a couple of minutes later, when Arsenal’s Ayling was sent off for a second yellow card offence. While this did give Tottenham some impetus for Smith to hit a shot across goal from the corner of the box and then Thomas almost put a fierce low ball from Townsend into his own goal, but managed to get it wide, the rest of the game was seen out with Arsenal controlling possession and almost adding to their lead.
Jansson had to be on his toes to keep out a rocket of a shot from Watt, who hit it from 25 yards out and Oscar just managed to tip it wide with two minutes to go and then Lansbury shot just wide from a short corner. In added time, the visitors hit the bar with a pile-driver from Frimpong, but there were two late chances for Spurs to equalise. Ryan Mason capitalised on a slip by Thomas and hit a shot from the 18 yard line but it was pulled a yard or so wide. Then, a last minute Bostock corner saw Oscar Jansson join the attack and there were some vain appeals for a handball, before the ball was cleared to safeguard Arsenal’s 1-0 win.

Spurs were pegged back by Premier Academy League Group A leaders Arsenal after going into a 2-0 lead at London Colney. Tottenham took a 20th minute lead when Kudos Oyenuga was brought down in the penalty area and a spot-kick awarded, which Ryan Mason coolly stroked home. The lead was doubled five minutes later when Mason put John Bostock through and he finished past the advancing goalkeeper.
Arsenal got back into the game before half time with a goal, but with 69 minutes gone, Spurs could have gone further ahead, but Nathan Byrne’s effort was well saved by the Arsenal goalie. Ninety seconds later, the home team made it 2-2 and although there were twenty minutes left, neither side could get the winning goal.

Two late Arsenal goals knocked Spurs out of the FA Youth Cup at the Quarter final stage at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham could not have had a better start, with Bostock and Mason moving the ball well to find Andros Townsend on the left wing. His run took him past the Arsenal full back Bartley and he pulled a low ball across into the six yard box, where Jon Obika reacted first to get ahead of a defender and prod home from close range.
Arsenal had lots of possession, but some poor use of the ball and some very determined defending saw them earn a number of corners but few shots on target. Caulker baulked Sunu as he looked to shoot on two occasions, before Tottenham got into attack again. Townsend was put away on the left side of the box after good interplay between Mason and Obika, but the winger slashed his shot well wide. An even better opening was created in the 22nd minute, as Mason picked out Obika’s run behind the central defence and it dropped onto his foot, but he tried to steer it in rather than put power in the shot, leaving him in two minds and the ball skewed off his foot and went wide.
None of the better known players were showing their true potential and Wilshire and Parrett both got booked for petulant acts – Wilshire kicking the ball away and Parrett for a late tackle.
It was ten minutes before the break that Jansson had some work to do, with Sunu put in on the ‘D’ and as he strode forward, he let go a low shot to the keeper’s right, but it was not strong enough to beat the Swedish keeper’s outstretched arm. Oscar then had to field a 25 yard shot straight at him from Bartley and Wilshire hit a shot that flew about 18 yards wide.
Within five minutes of the game re-starting, Arsenal were level with Adam Smith’s clearance from a corner hitting Bartley and going back past him into the net. It could have been worse two minutes later, when Thomas was released on the left side of the box, but Jansson beat his effort away. Yaser Kasim came on for twisted ankle victim Jose-Paul M’Poku and his first act was to have a shot from just outside the box that was half-hit wide.
Stephen Caulker almost got a goal for Spurs just after the hour, when a corner was played low into the near post, but it popped up and the centre half headed goal-wards, but Shea grabbed it above his head. Arsenal’s Watt hit a shot just over the bar from outside the area and then Mason had a shot deflected just wide with Shea rooted to the spot.
As the game entered the final ten minutes, Townsend got away on the left and he beat Eastmond to play the ball into Obika, but he was denied by a tackle from Ayling and at the other end, a corner found Thomas’ head, but he put the chance wide. However, in the last minute of the game, Watt played in Thomas on the left and he rocketed a shot past Jansson with seconds remaining, taking a deflection off Calum Butcher on the way.
Into added time and the ref got in the way of Parrett’s pass and Arsenal broke away to grab a third when Murphy shot across Jansson, who was left exposed as Tottenham had pressed for a late equaliser.

On a windy day at London Colney, Spurs emerged from this FA Premier Academy Under-17 League game with a point.
In the 25th minute, Michael Malcolm put Tottenham ahead with a header from Marcel McKie’s cross, with the lead almost extended when Mario Noto fired a shot that bounced off the goalpost. Playing with the wind in the second half, it benefitted the home team when a shot was deflected high into the air and the wind took the ball into the net.

Arsenal enjoyed large slices of luck in their 3-2 win in the Premier Academy League Under-19 match at Spurs Lodge.
Yannick Kamanan put Tottenham ahead in the 37th minute, but a handling error when Jamie Attwell dropped a cross when he hit the floor, let in Joe Osei-Kuffour to tap in an equaliser.
In the second half, it took seven minutes for Arsenal to take the lead when Attwell tipped a shot from Osei-Kuffour onto the bar, but the ball bounced down onto Neil Lacy’s knee and past his own keeper to make the score 1-2. But Tottenham fought back to level with George Snee lobbing a shot over Graham Stack in goal for the Gooners. Then, as the game seemed to be heading for a draw, fate intervened once more and a cross from Jermaine Pennant was deflected into his own net by Jonathan Partin to give Arsenal an undeserved win with two minutes remaining.

Arsenal won a South-East Counties Junior fixture at London Colney by 4-2.
Eight minutes into the game Andrew Douglas put the home team ahead, then five minutes later Omer Riza scored from a narrow angle to double the lead. On the half hour Paul Canonville fouled John Piercy in the area and the Spurs striker got up to knock in the spot-kick to reduce the arrears. Tottenham went into the half-time break all square when Wayne Vaughan was alive to a ball that the Arsenal defenders left for each other and tucked it away from four yards out in the 44th minute.
Riza regained the lead for the Gunners in the second half with a flying header and it was only in the last minute that the win was assured when Julian Gray headed in Nando Perna’s cross.

There was a narrow win for Arsenal Youth at London Colney as they edged South-East Counties Division 1 match 2-1.
Although Spurs controlled the first fifteen minutes, Arsenal scored against the run of play with goal from the second phase of a free-kick. They doubled the lead when Spurs played a loose pass on the edge of the box, allowing a shot that beat Alan Marriott. Tottenham had a couple of headed chances with Wayne Vaughan putting his into the side-netting, while Julian Delicata missed with his attempt.
Backed by a strong wind, Spurs enjoyed quite a few attacks, as Mark Gower went close with a free-kick, then forced a good save from the home keeper, as did Vaughan, as Spurs camped in the Arsenal half. The breakthrough eventually came when Jamie Evans collected the ball just outside the box and took the ball past two red-shirted defenders before drilling the ball home. It led to a period of pressure on the home goal, but Tottenham could not force an equaliser.

A typical, fast-paced derby saw Spurs Youth edge the points with a 3-2 win over Arsenal in the South-East Counties Division 1.
Tottenham took the lead in the 38th minute when a through-ball sent Ollie Morah away to out-strip the Arsenal defenders and slide the ball past the visiting keeper. It became 2-0 a few minutes after, as Kevin Smith robbed the Arsenal centre-half and scored.
When Morah was fouled in the box, a penalty was awarded and Vic Hardwicke stepped up to take the spot-kick, but it was saved, although Steven Bence followed-up to make it 3-0. Tottenham controlled the match and although Arsenal scored two late consolation goals, the final score-line was not a true reflection of the balance of play.

Spurs Youth drew 1-1 with a physical Arsenal side at home in the South-East Counties Division 1.
A defensive mix-up between Dave McDonald and Ian Hendon gave Arsenal the opportunity to take a seventh minute lead that their striker took. Spurs played some good football and drew level before the break. Peter Garland’s shot came back out off the post, with Matthew Edwards alert to take the loose ball, round a defender and shoot into the net across the keeper.
While Spurs controlled the second half, only one chance went close when Edwards and David Tuttle set up Scott Houghton, but a deflection took his shot wide.
