Joe Scott | Joined Barnsley from Rotherham County in March 1938 and stayed until June 1928, playing ten games and scoring three goals to keep the Tykes in the Second Division. He left Yorkshire in June of that year and came to Tottenham, scoring on his debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Spent three years at Spurs, making 18 league appearances scoring four times from the left wing. In July 1931, Joe returned to play for Cradley Heath where he started his career. |

|
Andrew Swann | Scottish striker who was much travelled having played for Lincoln City and New Brompton before he reached Barnsley in 1900. His one season at Oakwell was successful, ending up as the League’s top scorer with 18 goals. Went off on his travels again to Woolwich, Gainsborough Trinity and Stockport County, then back to Mexborough in his native country. Joined Tottenham in May 1904, spending two seasons in North London as cover for the legendary Vivian Woodward. Restricted opportunities made his debut wait until November of that year, but his presence did help steady the side after seven straight losses, they drew two and won two games. Back in the reserves, he was released in May 1905 to join Partick Thistle and ended his career with three years at Blackpool. |
