31.08.1991 Spurs Juniors had a tough time playing against an experienced Brentford side and into a first half wind in this South-East Counties League Second Division match.

Two defensive lapses allowed Brentford to take a 2-0 lead into the break and while Spurs performed better in the second half with the wind at their backs, they couldn’t find the net and slipped to defeat in Andy Turner’s first game back after injury.

Five minutes into the second half, Del Deanus reduced the deficit, heading in Mark Hall’s near post corner, but despite pressing the Brentford goal, Spurs could not find an equaliser.

28.11.1981 Windy conditions made for a difficult game away at Brentford Juniors in the South-East Counties Junior League and the home side came out on top 3-1.

The Bees had a flying start with a goal scored with just one minute on the clock, although Spurs got back in the game, with the majority of possession, but went into the dressing room at half-time a further goal behind as Brentford scored again, just before the interval.  Another early goal for Brentford in the second half put the game beyond Spurs, but Robert Poague beat the keeper from the penalty spot to net Tottenham’s consolation goal.

Spurs Youth travelled to the Ruislip Manor FC ground to meet Brentford Youth and came home with both points after a 1-0 win in the South-East Counties Division 1.

With Tottenham dominating play, the chances created were not capitalised on, leaving the single goal from a one-two from Chris McGrath with Gary Mabee, allowing the Irish striker to beat two Bees defenders and then poke the ball under the goalkeeper as he came out to win the match for Spurs.

19.09.1970

The final score did not reflect the dominance of the Spurs Youth team over the Bees at Griffin Park.

A first half goal from Mike Flanagan scored with a fierce shot gave Tottenham the lead and while they could easily have taken the score to double figures had they converted all the chances they made, they had to settle for a 3-0 win.

Peter Johnson made it 2-0 halfway through the second half and the third goal came from a straight forward header from Ray Clarke in the closing stages.
