12.03.2007
This meeting at Gravesend and Northfleet FC ended in a 1-1 draw thanks to a late goal from Emil Hallfredsson.  Having been put under pressure for a large part of the first half, a young Spurs side were hit by a goal from the pacy striker Walker, who beat Burch with a high shot from the edge of the box after being released with a ball through the defence in the 66th minute.  Jamie O’Hara played a long pass from a deep position to find Hallfredsson bursting through from the halfway line, holding off two defenders and lobbing over the keeper to equalise with just four minutes left.

While Rob Burch had to be at his best in the first half with some very good saves, Daniel Hutchins had a header go wide and another go in from David Hutton’s cross, but the officials ruled it out for offside.  O’Hara’s drive from 20 yards was well turned aside by Rudolph and Burch replicated the save from a Weston effort at the other end.

With time running out after Emil’s equaliser, Spurs nearly won it at the death when Jake Livermore broke into the area and brought a diving save from the Charlton keeper.

30.10.2006 Stevenage Borough’s Broadhall Way ground staged Spurs Reserves’ 0-0 draw with Charlton Athletic Reserves.

Tottenham remained unbeaten in their opening six Reserve League South matches, but were disappointed not to take more than a point from this game.  Only a fine save to keep out Dorian Dervite’s downward header from six yards out by Darren Randolph denied Spurs the lead as they got to grips with the game.  As the pressure grew, a number of corners were whipped in by Reto Ziegler and on another day, Dervite might have scored a hat-trick from them and midfielder Kieran McKenna hit a 20 yard volley just off target.  A penalty was not given by the referee when Jake Livermore’s shot hit Jonathan Fortune’s hand in the area.

In the second half, McKenna went close again and substitute Stuart Lewis brought a good save out of Rudolph, but it was Spurs keeper Marton Fulop who made the save of the game, fingertipping a curling effort by Bulgarian international Radostin Kishishev over the bar to see the game end goal-less.

31.08.1991 Spurs beat Charlton Athletic Reserves 2-1 at home with a young side showing good promise.

Although Spurs created first half chances, they were unable to finish them and had to wait until the second half for John Moncur to open up the Charlton defence with a ball to Paul Moran, who went through to shoot past the keeper as he came out.

In the 80th minute, Charlton pulled level when they scored with a breakaway goal past 18 year old Youth Training Scheme keeper Chris Day on his debut.  However, with two minutes remaining, Moncur repeated the assist for Moran to go through and score the winning goal.

02.09.1989 White Hart Lane staged a Football Combination match with Charlton Athletic Reserves that saw ten goals shared between the two sides.

It was Charlton who struck first, taking a 2-0 lead inside of ten minutes, but a 20th minute Mitchell Thomas header got Spurs back into the match and when Paul Moran was brought down in the penalty area, Vinny Samways’ successful penalty drew Tottenham level.  Before half-time, Charlton re-establish a lead to go into the break 3-2 to the good.

With two minutes of the second half played, Paul Walsh equalised and he was on the mark again eight minutes later to put Spurs ahead for the first time in the match.  At this stage, Tottenham were taking control of the game and Gudni Bergsson scored in the 65th minute, with Pat van den Hauwe hitting the Charlton bar with a delicate lob soon after.  Having come off the bench, Ian Gilzean scored Tottenham’s sixth goal with three minutes remaining, during which Charlton grabbed a late consolation goal to make the final score 6-4 to Spurs.
