19.11.2022 | Tottenham’s Under-18s lost out to the odd goal in three at Hotspur Way to Chelsea this morning.
Spurs started brightly, with Mikey Moore playing a look-away pass to Jamie Donley, who produced a shot from an angle that was saved by Chelsea keeper Curd and then had two shots that called for the keeper to save, while Chelsea forward Louis Flower had a couple of headers go close. Jaden Williams met Max McKnight’s cross, but could not get enough on it to trouble the visitors’ defence, then in the 29th minute, Michael Golding came inside onto his right foot to curl a shot into Luca Gunter’s top corner just outside the box to hand Chelsea the lead. Tottenham forced clearances off the goal-line with efforts from Will Lankshear and McKnight with 34 minutes gone and then three minutes later Curd was called into action to make a double save from Moore and McKnight. Luca Gunter made a reflex save diving to push Flower’s header away before Tottenham levelled right on 45 minutes when Moore put a low cross from the left into the box and Donley guided the ball past the keeper. After Frankie Runham and Tudor Mendel-Idowu went close, a thunderbolt from defender Josh Acheampong in the 69th minute that gave Gunter no chance put Chelsea 2-1 ahead. The Spurs keeper did well to pull out a smart save to an effort from Mendel-Idowu. Keeping going until the end, Rio Kyerematen sent Lankshear into the right side of the box and his shot towards the top corner had to be saved by Curd and then Yusuf Akhamrich flew down the right wing to put the ball onto Donley’s head but the keeper made a straightforward save. 21.08.2021 | Tottenham were at home to Chelsea in the Premier Under-18 League and lost 2-7.
Ronnie Stutter gave the Pensioners the lead and that was followed up by a debatable penalty from Lewis Hall to make it 2-0, but Jamie Donley pulled a goal back from the spot after being tripped by Billy Gee to narrow the margin going into the interval and it could have been all square as Donley forced keeper Curd to a stretching save to tip his shot around the post. Another dodgy penalty given against Max McKnight for a challenge on Olise five minutes after the break gave Hall his second goal and a goal from Jimi Tauriainen extended the lead to 4-1. Donley was then dismissed by the referee for a tackle on Tauriainen, but Tottenham’s ten men battled with Jaden Williams seeing his shot come back off the post, but they made it 2-4 thanks to a Roshaun Mathurin goal finishing after a good run, but the extra man counted towards the end as Malik Mothersille, Derrick Abu and Edwin Andersson found the net to make it 2-7. Brandon Bryan-Waugh made a good goal-line clearance when the score was 2-5 to prevent Mothersille claiming a second goal. Teams : |

Chelsea came back from behind twice to win thanks to a hat-trick from Tammy Abrahams that sealed a 4-2 win for the Blues against Spurs Under-18s.Luke Amos put Spurs ahead, when he coolly struck the ball into the net after Anthony Georgious’ effort had rebounded off the post in the 26th minute. Glover saved well from Dasilva before he was beaten by Miro Muheim’s drive, but the post saved Spurs, who lead at the break before Tammy Abraham equalised early after the restart. The Chelsea striker failed to convert a penalty given for Amos’ foul on Scott, with Tom Glover making a good save, but the keeper was helpless shortly after, as Abrahams header from Dasilva’s cross made it 1-1 in the 52nd minute.
Cameron Carter-Vickers then restored Spurs’ advantage with a close-range header from Shayon Harrison’s 59th minute free-kick, but the Chelsea response was to press forward and Muheim hit a low strike from the edge of the box that found it’s way in for 2-2 with 69 minutes on the clock. Chelsea finished stronger with Abrahams scoring with another header with 74 minutes gone and then he sealed his hat-trick late on by taking the ball around Glover to slip it into an empty net with six minutes to go. 09.08.2013 | The opening game of the Under-21 Premier League season saw Spurs put in an impressive display against Chelsea at Aldershot FC to win 4-2. A quick start saw Nabil Bentaleb shoot wide after 45 seconds from 20 yards and Spurs should have taken the lead with only four minutes on the clock, when Kane charged down Beeney’s clearance as he took his time on the ball and the England U20 forward played in Iago Falque, but his shot was too high. However, it was Chelsea who took the lead through a 18th minute Josh McEachran penalty after Gallifuoco bundled over Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the area. Isaiah Brown had previously hit a shot straight at Jordan Archer when put through by Boga, but Tottenham came back into the game with Falque striking the underside of the bar with a volley from an acute angle and Coulthirst couldn’t get a good connection on the rebound, slicing it over the top. An equaliser did come for Spurs in the 31st minute. Kane crossed to pick out Falque and as Chelsea players tried to stop him, he side-stepped them to coolly finish from close in.
Falque missed a good chance soon after, with Kane hitting a shot that curled just wide before Chelsea forced Archer into a save from Brown, who was picked out by Swift and shot low to the keeper’s right forcing him to turn the ball aside. With McEachran leaving the action after turning an ankle, Spurs dominated midfield and in the 40th minute, Falque struck again, as Coulthirst ran between Ake and Chabolah to receive Bentaleb’s pass and shoot at goal, but the keeper blocked it with the loose ball being drilled home by the Spanish winger. A minute later, it was 3-1, with Kane taking the ball from Falque to go past Chabolah and Ake to beat Beeney with a cross-shot into the bottom left corner of the Chelsea goalie’s net. Chelsea went close near the end of the half, with Boga’s free-kick tipped away by Archer as it headed for the top corner of his net. There was a slow start to the second half, but when Tom Carroll’s shot from 20 yards forced Beeney to a save, it was the pre-cursor to Tottenham’s fourth goal in the 55th minute. When Wright twice failed to get the ball away, Kane took Gallifuoco’s pass, turned and hit a shot that bounced off the left hand post straight to Shaquile Coulthirst, who netted to make the score 4-1. Islam Feruz looked lively as a half-time substitute and he got the ball in the net, but it was chalked off for offside. Kane forced Beeney to scramble a 20 yard shot away, Bentaleb hit a shot over the bar when well placed, Gallifuoco headed into Beeney’s arms when a yard either side would have brought another goal, before Kane went close once more. The last goal of the game went to Chelsea, who narrowed the margin of defeat through Brown, but, even though Nabil Bentaleb was sent off for his second booking, Tottenham still went close with Kane again and twice substitute Darren McQueen burst in on goal, but failed to beat Beeney. Spurs earned a 4-2 home win over Chelsea in the Premier Academy League at Spurs Lodge with a brace apiece from Alex Pritchard and Kudus Oyenuga. A goal in the fourth minute from Alex Pritchard, shooting home after Waller-Lassen had crossed the ball in, but a head injury to James Yeboah forced a defensive re-shuffle and Spurs had to regain their shape, but chances for Paul-Jose M’poku and Pritchard forced good saves from Chelsea keeper Jemal Blackman. It was Pritchard, who made a good bent run to beat the Chelsea offside line and he was found by an astute pass from M’poku to nudge the ball past the keeper just after the half hour.
Before and after the half-time whistle, Chelsea forced Miles into saves and they pulled a goal back in the 52nd minute, when Toddy Kane made no mistake. However, it was the goalkeeper at the other end, who was performing save after save as he twice prevented Pritchard getting his third goal and then dived to push out the striker’s penalty after Jesse Waller-Lassen had been fouled in the box. When Bobby Devyne ran through onto a ball over the defence to beat Miles in the 76th minute, it looked as though the pressure would count for nothing, but a piece of quick thinking saw Tom Carroll knock a free-kick to Oyenuga, who lifted the ball over Blackman to make it 3-2 with nine minutes remaining and then went on a solo run from the halfway line to power the ball home low into the bottom corner of the net to round off a fine 4-2 win. Spurs rounded off the 2009-10 season with a 3-0 home win over Chelsea. Spurs took the lead through striker Shaquille Coulthirst, who had already missed a good opportunity, as had Tom Carroll. However, Coulthirst was more successful with his 20th minute opening, when he ran onto a ball down the left side and he shot across the keeper to score the opener.
A Chelsea player was sent off for a badly timed tackle and it left Spurs to control the remainder of the match. Paul-Jose M’Poku, Carroll and Alex Pritchard linked up to provide a chance for substitute Darren McQueen to shoot home in the 75th minute from inside the six yard bow. The sub grabbed the third goal with a left foot finish to Zaine Francis-Angol’s cross following good work by Jake Nicholson. However, despite finishing the campaign with a 59 point haul that would have won the other three divisions, the team finished behind Leicester City, who went into the play-offs. Teams : |

A crucial save by Oscar Jansson at 0-0 helped Spurs prevent going a goal behind and laid the foundations for a very good win over Chelsea Youth in the FA Academy Premier League at Cobham. However, when Kudus Oyenuga gave Tottenham the lead, there was no looking back. Sala and Philip both were denied by Jansson before the half hour, when Ryan Mason doubled the lead and then after the break, the striker converted a penalty awarded for a foul on David Hutton by Rohan Ince. Before the break Clifford had scooped over from close range and a Spurs free-kick whistled just over the bar. A fierce 25 yard drive by Dean Parrett recorded the fourth and when Jansson stopped Philip once more, the 5-0 win was sealed by a goal from substitute Paul-Jose M’Poku, who ran onto a long through ball and slotted home past Heimann to give Spurs a 5-0 win over the West Londoners. Both sides were playing open, attacking football and Spurs took control of the second half, but were unable to add to the score-line, although Peter Garland went close with two free-kicks and hit the bar, with Shaun Murray denied a goal when his delicate chip was headed off the line.
