Spurs v Crewe Alexandra Notes

.
03.02.1960 Tottenham’s home win in the Fourth Round replay of an FA Cup tie saw a 13-2 victory that stands as the highest number of goals scored by Spurs in a competitive match.  It is still the biggest defeat that Crewe Alexandra have suffered.
The story (apparently true) goes that when Crewe departed Euston by train for the journey home, they left on Platform 13 and arrived at Crewe station on Platform 2.
