21.08.2010 Spurs won their first FA Premier Academy League game of the season 2-1 away to Derby County.

With five debutants (Kevin Stewart, Ronnie Hawkins, Ramil Sheriff, Kenneth McEvoy and James Yeboah) at this level in the side, it was a considerable achievement to gain a comfortable win over the Rams’ Under-18s.  Captain Harry Kane struck the first goal direct from a free-kick after 25 minutes and despite a resurgence by the home team in the early stages of the second half, a through ball by Durojaye gave Kane the chance to beat the keeper in a one-on-one situation.

With two minutes left, a corner lead to a goal for Derby, but Spurs hung on for the three points.
