| 1974 | Spurs were in their second UEFA Cup final and with the second leg being away, they needed to get a good lead to take to Holland. Mike England headed Spurs ahead, but the Dutch hit back before half-time. Spurs once again took the lead with England involved, although the final touch appeared to come off van Daele, but once again Feyenoord brought the scores level with just four minutes remaining on the clock. The Dutch side featured some famous names including Wim van Hanegem, who scored the first with a stunning free-kick. |

| 2025 | For the third time in six European finals, Tottenham faced English opposition in Manchester United. Having suffered a dreadful Premier League season, Spurs won all four of their encounters with United in Premier League, League Cup and here in the Europa League final in Bilbao, as Brennan Johnson’s goal handed Tottenham their first trophy in 17 years and the first European title in 41 years. This became the final that was contested between the two lowest league placed team in history. Tottenham had only 27.7% possession, had only three shots at goal and completed just 115 passes – all the the lowest recorded of any team to play in a major European final since 2009-2010. Cristian Romero was named UEFA Europa League Final Man of the Match and Player of the Tournament. This was Ange Postecoglou’s 100th match as Head Coach of Tottenham Hotspur. Tottenham Hotspur beat Manchester United for the fourth time this season, only the second side to do so in one season, with Everton in 1985-86 being the other. At 17 years and 283 days old, Mikey Moore became the youngest player ever to win the Europa League |
