1952 | Sid McClellan makes a clean sweep of the Spurs goal-scoring record, claiming nine of the eighteen goals scored in this match. Although a friendly, it remains the most goals a Spurs player has ever scored in one match. Unfortunately, as far as the club is concerned it does not constitute a first class record for the history books. But we think it’s pretty good going whoever you are playing against !! |

2023 | Harry Kane set a number of goal-scoring records in this match. His two goals took his total to 30 for the season in the Premier League equalling Alan Shearer’s record of 30 or more goals in Premier League seasons, although Shearer’s were scored in 42 game seasons and Harry’s were in 38 game seasons. The goals also gave him the joint record for scoring in 26 matches in a Premier League season, although Andy Cole scored them in a 42 match season. Having scored 16 away goals in the Premier League, Kane became the player to score most in a season along with Kevin Phillips and Harry claims the most final day goals in the Premier League having reached a total of 11 goals.
Lucas Moura played his last game for Tottenham and scored his last goal for the club with a fantastic mazy run just three minutes after coming on as a late substitute. |
