These photos have been kindly provided by Terry Newman from his own card collection.

Compton’s Gravy Salts issued a number of series of cards with the title “Football Clubs”.
These appeared in various guises, with the card above being from the 1926-1927 issue Series B, with Tottenham being number 19.
The cards are black and white and had plain backs and were 33mm x 66mm in size.
There were other series issued in the years around this time with Tottenham included in them …
1924-1925  Series A – in colour (number 20).
1925-1926  Series D – in black and white (number 20).
1926-1927  Series A – in black and white (number 12).

The company were originally based in Sheffield until bought out in 1994 and moved to Carlisle, with the product still available in shops to this day.
