Unreliable History

Formed in 1865 the players decided to raise some much needed funds by going out at Halloween to knock on doors and ask for goodies which they were going to resell.  Unfortunately, the particularly deaf old lady who they visited first quickly told the other citizens of Nottingham that the “Tricky Trees” were out collecting for the club and to beware.  Thus was born the nickname of the club.

In the 1970’s the club badge changed from the City coat of arms to a new modern logo which was roughly based on the perturbed look on Dave Needham’s face – a puzzled frown topped by his bubble perm.
