03.04.1937 Division 2   Away   Drew     2-2.

Spurs fought out a 2-2 draw with Plymouth Argyle at Home Park in Division 2.

The home side had taken the lead, but Andy Duncan pulled Tottenham level at 1-1 before the half-time break and in the second half, Johnny Morrison handed Spurs the lead, but Argyle equalised with a controversial goal.  The next Spurs home programme after the game reported, “Plymouth equalised with a goal that had a big element of doubt about its legitimacy.  Our players were certain it was well offside, but it was allowed to stand.  It is the referee who has the final word.”
