26.10.1991 Another tough game against QPR in the South-East Counties League Cup Second Round saw the teams finish level at 4-4. A free kick that sent Chris Day the wrong way in the eighth minute gave QPR the opening goal and another dead ball situation doubled Rangers’ lead in the 12th minute.

But Spurs quickly got back on even terms with Sol Campbell finishing Paul Mahorn’s pass and then the roles were reversed as Mahorn scored from Campbell’s flick-on.

Tottenham took the lead two minutes into the second half, with Darren Caskey confidently converting from the penalty spot, after an award for handball.  Just when it looked like Spurs were getting the upper hand, a Rangers penalty levelled things and then a well taken goal put the home side into he lead.  But Lee Hodges created another equaliser for Paul Mahorn and while both teams had chances towards the end of the match, it finished all square.

19.10.1991 Spurs Youth recorded a satisfying 3-0 away win at Queens Park Rangers in the South-East Counties League Division One.   Rangers had spells of pressure on the Tottenham goal that made it difficult to break out, but when Paul Mahorn and Darren Caskey created an opportunity to put the ball in the box, Jeff Minton slammed the ball home from close range.  There were openings at both ends before the interval, but two early goals in the second period killed the game.

Mahorn stripped the defenders and set up Caskey to make it 2-0, then Lee Hodges stormed past the Rangers back line to thump into the far corner of the net for a third.

26.08.1989 A 4-0 away win for Spurs Juniors against QPR in the South-East Counties Division 2 in a one-sided match.

It only took four minutes for Tottenham to go ahead with Stuart Nethercott heading a goal after Vic Hardwicke’s corner was headed back across goal by Neil Smith.  A good move involving Ollie Morah, Darren Caskey and Vic Hardwicke created the second goal for Anthony Potts ten minutes later.  Nethercott was denied by the keeper in the 24th minute when his left foot shot was saved, but Morah was on hand to net the loose ball.  By the 32nd minute, the scoring was complete as Hardwicke beat two men on the right to cross for Kevin Smith to head in and make it 4-0.

Shaun Murray’s 10th minute free-kick was headed into the net by Neil Smith, with Murray adding a second goal just before half-time with a penalty that had been given for handball.  The Rangers’ fightback started 20 minutes into the second half, but the two goal lead was restored by Steve Smart, who finished a through pass from Ian Hendon.  Even though QPR scored a late goal with five minutes to go, it was only a consolation to make the final score 3-2.

23.09.1972 Spurs Youth won this South-East Counties Division 1 match at QPR 2-0.

The Tottenham youngsters played very well and although the first half was goal-less, the second half saw Spurs take the points with a goal from John Margerrison seized on a defensive error and then the scorer turned provider.  He played the ball to Chris Jones, who controlled it on his chest and despite the keeper trying to pull him down, managed to score and put the game out of Rangers’ reach.

24.4.1971 QPR Youth were well beaten by Spurs Youth in the South-East Counties Division 1, but a 2-0 win was scant reward for a dominating performance at QPR.

Danny Clapton tapped a short corner to Mike Flanagan and he put in a cross that Joe Peck finished at the far post early on in the match.

Flanagan produced an accurate finish late in the game to make it 2-0, but the Spurs side should have had a bigger winning margin with the amount of possession they had in the match.

13.12.1969 A quick start almost put Spurs ahead in a game against QPR that they ended up winning.

John Oliver saw his shot bounce back off the post in the first few minutes, but Tottenham had to wait until halfway through the first half to open the scoring, when Phil Holder put in a pacy cross to the far post and Billy Edwards headed home.  Holder doubled the lead just before half-time, when he was on the end of a good passing move and with the defence thinking he was going to pass again, the midfielder smashed the ball past the keeper to make it 2-0.

Although Spurs had much of the possession in the second half, there was no further scoring.
