There was a minute’s silence to mark the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the National Anthem was played and God Save The King was sung.  Ledley King and Emile Heskey laid wreaths in commemoration in the centre circle and both teams wore black armbands.  On the 70th minute, there was a minute’s applause from the crowd to mark the 70 years the Queen reigned.
Heung-Min Son’s hat-trick was the club’s first scored by a substitute in the Premier League.
Son became the joint eighth all-time club goal-scorer with 134, over-taking Alan Gilzean and pulling level with Len Duquemin.
