- SIGNING : – Israeli winger Manor Solomon has signed a five year contract with Spurs on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk.
- PRE-SEASON FRIENDLY : – A behind closed doors friendly took place at Hotspur Way today, with Cambridge United facing a mixture of Spurs first teamers and Under-21 with the match said to be finishing 1-1 with Dane Scarlett scoring for Tottenham.
- TRANSFER RUMOURS : – PSV Eindhoven are the latest club to show an interest in buying Davinson Sanchez from Tottenham, but his salary might not be able to be met, with other clubs looking at the Colombian defender, including Spartak Moscow, who apparently made a bid for him over the weekend which might involve Sanchez taking a pay cut. It is reported that Spurs will accept a bid of £12.8 million for Davinson.
Spurs Academy defensive midfielder Jaden Dixon is reported to be set to join Stoke City tomorrow when his contract expires, having made only one Under-18 appearance for the club. Some articles claim he spent time at Stoke last season.
Galatasaray are reported to be watching Djed Spence with a view to signing him.
- UNDER-21s FRIENDLY : – Stevenage will provide the opposition for a Spurs Under-21s friendly at the Broadhall Way Stadium on Saturday 29th July kicking off at 15.00.
- TRAINING GROUND : – Tottenham have been granted a 25 year lease for part of Whitewebbs Park by Enfield Council. The intention is to make an application for planning permission for the Women’s team to have an Academy, while providing a new nature reserve, re-wilding part of the former golf course and increasing access by providing new pathways and bridleways in the park.
- EX-SPURS : – Former reserve keeper Luke McGee has joined Tranmere Rovers on a free transfer after being released by Forest Green Rovers.
- TRANSFER RUMOURS : – Harry Kane is reported to have commissioned a new home to be built near Wentworth golf course (as he is keen on golf), but it is within 15 miles of Chelsea’s training ground, so the media are putting 2 and 2 together and claiming that he is more likely to sign with Mauricio Pochettino‘s new team rather than Bayern Munich.
If Kane does leave, Spurs are being heavily linked with a move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.
Tottenham’s interest in Galatasaray pair defender Victor Nelsson and midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo could see Tanguy Ndombele offered as part of the deal now that he may be surplus to requirements following the arrival of James Maddison.
Having signed Will Lankshear from the Sheffield United Academy, Spurs are said to be looking at raiding the Blades for another product of their youths system, 19 year old striker Daniel Jebbison, who is also being watched by Aston Villa, Everton, Newcash United, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus.
It is reported that Atletico Madrid are in talks with Spurs over the transfer of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to the La Liga side, but others think that the Dane might be set for a return to Bayern Munich.
Despite rumours of Tottenham being willing to release him, Eric Dier wishes to stay at the club and fight for his place in the side.
- UNDER-21s FRIENDLY : – Spurs Under-21s travel to the Abbey Stadium to play a behind closed doors friendly against Cambridge United on Tuesday 11th July.
- SIGNING : – Leicester City midfielder James Maddison has signed a five year deal with Spurs reportedly worth £170,000 a week in wages. His transfer fee is reported to be around £40 million. A 15% sell-on clause in his deal when signed from Norwich City means The Foxes will have to pay The Canaries around £3 million. However, Coventry City inserted a sell-on clause too and Norwich will have to reimburse them a percentage of what they receive.
- PRE-SEASON FRIENDLY : – Tottenham have arranged a home friendly against Shakhtar Donetsk on Sunday 6th August 2023 (kick off 14.00) to raise funds for the Ukraine club’s charitable foundation. Tickets will cost £25 for adults, £5 for Under-18s and a family package of 2 adults and 2 Under-18s will be £50.
- TRANSFER RUMOURS : – Bayern Munich are rumoured to be ready to make a second offer of £80 million for Harry Kane, while some articles claim they are encouraging Kane to force a move away from N17 this summer.
Rumours are entering the stories circulating around Spurs that Tanguy Ndombele may be interesting Sevilla.
Travelling in the opposite direction to Maddison, Harry Winks could move to the King Power stadium in a £10 million deal.
Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet‘s future is no clearer, with some reports saying a three-year deal has been agreed, while others consider that he is not a high priority signing for Ange Postecoglou. Direct talks with Wolfsburg are reported to be being held by Tottenham regarding the signing of massive 22 year old central defender Micky van de Ven with at least £26 million needed to secure his services.
In addition to van de Ven, Spurs will look to bring in one of Edmond Tapsoba of Bayer Leverkusen or Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo as the defence gets rebuilt.
24 year old Torino captain Alessandro Buongiorno is another central defender that Spurs are loosely reputed to be interested in.
In Argentina, news reaches the internet that they claim Juventus are keen on signing their former central defender Cristian Romero. This has led to speculation that the Spurs player might be used in a swap deal to bring 80 million Euros rated Juve central defender Gleison Bremer.
- INTERNATIONALS : – Oliver Skipp played all of England’s 2-0 win over Germany in their last Group C match at the European Under-21 Championships tonight.
Destiny Udogie was an unused substitute as Italy’s Under-21s were defeated 1-0 by Norway, leaving them in third position in Group C at the European Under-21 Championships.
- AWARDS : – Windsor Castle hosted the award of a CBE to Pat Jennings and a MBE to Gareth Bale by Prince William today.
- SIGNING : – Tottenham have signed Empoli goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario for a fee reckoned to be £16.4 million on a five-year deal. He will be wearing the number 13 shirt next season.
- COACHING STAFF NEWS : – Ange Postecoglou has put his coaching staff in place ahead of the squad returning to training in the next week or so. Chris Davies is installed as Senior Assistant coach having worked at Swansea City, Liverpool, Leicester City and Glasgow Celtic, while Ryan Mason and Matt Wells are taking the roles of Assistant coaches. Mile Jedinak, the former Crystal palace and Aston Villa player arrives as another Assistant coach, having been a youth coach at Villa. Former Spurs youth and reserve goalkeeper Rob Burch comes in as Goalkeeping coach.
- TRANSFER RUMOURS : – Bayern Munich have made a £60 million offer for Harry Kane, which is expected to be rejected by Tottenham although the Daily Mail reckon the striker has agreed a move in principle with the German champions. However, Paris Saint Germain are still keen on the England captain and Mancashter United may yet renew their interest.
Spurs are reported as having agreed personal terms with James Maddison, although the transfer fee is still under discussion with Leicester City. Terms have also said to have been agreed with Clement Lenglet over a three year deal in a permanent move from Barcelona.
Leicester City are rumoured to be ready to make a move for Harry Winks.

- TRANSFER RUMOURS : – It is in the media today that Harry Kane is keen to sign for Bayern Munich and that the Bundesliga champions are keen to sign him.
As Hugo Lloris has discussed his future with Ange Postecoglou, the media are speculating that he may be a target for Internazionale, should they sell goalkeeper Andre Onana.
With Tottenham rumoured to be interested in Mancashter United’s Jadon Sancho, it is reported that his price tag has dropped to £45 million from the £73 million they paid for him.
It is reported today that Spurs may be looking for a squad clear-out with Hugo Lloris, Japhet Tanganga, Joe Rodon, Davinson Sanchez, Sergio Reguilon, Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Ivan Perisic named as the likely departures from N17.
Winger Romaine Mundle is reported to have passed a medical with Standard Liege and is expected to complete his move to the Belgian club.
News in Italy rumours that Ben Davies might be used as part of a swap deal for AS Roma central defender Roger Ibanez.
- EX-SPURS : – Maccabi Tel Aviv have named Robbie Keane as their new manager having signed a two-year deal.
Former Spurs Under-18 manager Matt Taylor has been appointed as the manager of Shrewsbury Town.
- TRANSFER RUMOURS : – Tottenham are rumoured to have been offered Udinese’s Portuguese striker Beto for around 30 million Euros, with Real Madrid also being given the opportunity to sign the 25 year old.
Tottenham Head Coach Ange Postecoglou is rumoured in the Scottish press to be keen on bringing defender Cameron Carter-Vickers back to the club from his former club Glasgow Celtic.
Meanwhile, the Sunday Mirror claims a bid in excess of £16 million could tempt Glasgow Celtic to sell 28 year old Japanese forward Kyogo Furuhashi.
Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Max Kilman‘s name is cropping up a lot in links to Tottenham’s interest in buying the 26 year old.
However, the Daily Star have said that Spurs have made a £25 million move for 24 year old Bayer Leverkusen defender Edmond Tapsoba.
There are also lots of stories about Tottenham making a move for Fulham and former Mancashter City defender Tosin Adarabioyo with a price of £15 million regularly appearing, with the player not agreeing to a new contract at Craven Cottage.
Peterborough United defender Ronnie Edwards is attracting a lot of interest according to the media, with Newcash United, Crystal Palace, AFC Bournemouth and Tottenham all quoted as watching the 20 year old England Under-21 international, who would fetch upwards of £10 million.
Chelsea, Mancashter United, Paris Saint Germain and Tottenham are all said to be readying offers to sign SSC Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who could cost £150 million.
Mancashter City are reported to want £60 million for their central defender Aymeric Laporte, so Spurs might turn their attention to Crystal Palace’s England international Marc Guehi, rated at £50 million.

- TRANSFER RUMOURS : – Dinamo Zagreb’s 6′ 2″ central defender Josip Sutalo is linked with Tottenham having an interest in him, with a fee of £18 million quoted for him.
Wolfsburg’s Micky van de Ven is another central defender Spurs are rumoured to be interested in, with reports that the club have already had talks with the 22 year old’s representatives.
Rumours linking Spurs with an interest in West Ham United London’s winger Jarrod Bowen have had cold water poured on them (well we could all do with some of that in this hot weather !).
Tottenham are reported to be in talks with Mancashter United central defender Harry Maguire about a move to North London.
Real Betis are said to be keen on taking Giovani Lo Celso on loan next season.
Bayern Munich are still hopeful of signing Harry Kane this summer.
- TRANSFER RUMOURS : – Barcelona are keen to take midfielder Giovani Lo Celso on loan for the coming season with a 15 million Euro option to sign him permanently.
Fenerbahce are reported to be in touch with the agent of Ivan Perisic about a move to Turkey in the summer.
Sources claim that Manchester City central defender Aymeric Laporte is uninterested in a move to Tottenham during the transfer window.
Spurs may be weighing up a move for Juventus central defender Gleison Bremer.
Rumours indicate that Lille and Canada striker Jonathan David is a player Tottenham have an interest in, but he has a £42 million price tag.
- BACKROOM STAFFING : – Performance Director Greitar Steinsson is apparently set to leave the club after less than a year in post, as Spurs carry out a re-organisation of the structure to support Scott Munns – the new Chief Football Officer, who begins his duties on 1st July.
- EX-SPURS : – Dean Marney, the former Tottenham midfielder has joined the Academy at Burnley to coach their Under-15 and Under-16s.
- TRANSFER RUMOURS : – Spurs are said to be making progress in talks with Barcelona to turn Clement Lenglet‘s loan move into a permanent one for between £3.5 million and £5 million, but one report reckons it will not be part of a swap deal involving Giovani Lo Celso.
Empoli are reported to have accepted Tottenham’s £17.2 million off for goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, who is expected to come to London to complete his medical in the next couple of days.
- INTERNATIONALS : – England Under-21s beat the Czech Republic 2-0 in the U21European Championship finals tonight with Oliver Skipp used as a 79th minute substitute.
Destiny Udogie played 88 minutes of Italy Under-21s 1-2 defeat by France in the U21 Euro Championship finals tonight.
- UNDER-21s : – Our Under-21 side has been drawn in the Southern Group D of the EFL Trophy along with Peterborough United, Cambridge United and Colchester United.
- TRANSFER RUMOURS : – Tottenham are reported to have a verbal agreement to sign Empoli goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario for £17.2 million, with an official offer reported to be ready to be accepted by the Italian club tomorrow.
Rumours in the Sun reckon Mancashter United are encouraging Harry Kane to force a way out of the club, although Daniel Levy has previously stated that he would not want to sell the Spurs striker to another Premier League club.
Strengthening rumours are circulating about the Spurs interest in Bayer Leverkusen central defender Edmond Tapsoba, with the club said to be willing to spend £42.7 million on the 6′ 4″, 24 year old Burkino Faso international, although some reports claim his club want £61 million.
Brazilian club Flamengo have been offered Davinson Sanchez according to articles today, with the Colombian defender said to be keen on the move.
PSV Eindhoven’s Dutch winger Xavi Simons is a transfer target for Spurs, Woolwich Wanderers and Mancashter United in news today.
Arda Guler, the 18 year old Fenerbahce midfielder, is reported as being a player Spurs are looking at signing this summer, with his transfer fee said to be 17.5 million Euros.

- TRANSFER RUMOURS : – Tottenham are said to be the “front-runners” to sign the Italian midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo from Galatasaray this summer.
With talks to bring in David Raya from Brentford said to be grinding to a halt, Tottenham are looking at other options, including Guglielmo Vicario of Empoli, Alban Lafont of Nantes, Borussia Dortmund keeper Gregor Kobel and Valencia stopper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
One report reckons that Tottenham and Aston Villa are reported to be interested in Fenerbahce and former QPR winger Bright Osayi-Samuel, with the 25 year old Nigerian international’s transfer fee quoted as being £6 million.
Galatasaray’s Danish central defender Victor Nelsson is said to be pleading with his club to let him join Spurs, although the current offer for the 24 year old is 3 million Euros below his 25 million Euros release clause.
Heung-Min Son is reported not to be interested in the interest reported to be coming from Saudi Arabia.
Apparently, stories today reckon Harry Kane is hoping that Mancashter United will make a U-turn and decide to make a move to sign him.
- INTERNATIONALS : – Dejan Kulusevski played 87 minutes of Sweden’s 0-2 Euro 2024 qualifier loss in Austria tonight.
Heung-Min Son came off the bench as a 69th minute substitute for South Korea in their home friendly 1-1 draw with El Salvador.
Brazil lost 2-4 to Senegal in a friendly in Lisbon tonight, with Richarlison playing for 57 minutes.
Davinson Sanchez came on four minutes into added time at the end of Colombia’s 2-0 win against Germany in an away friendly tonight.
- ACADEMY STAFF : – A new Academy Director has been appointed in place of Dean Rastrick, who left the club last week. It is a promotion for Simon Davies (not our former midfielder), who worked at Mancashter City in the Academy for eight years and from 2019 to 2022, he was with RSC Anderlecht until he became the Head of Methodology at the Spurs Academy.
Under-18 coach Yaya Toure has left Tottenham to become assistant manager at Standard Liege.
- UNDER-21s : – Following a vote among member clubs, all Category 1 Academies will take part in a single League next season, with the current Premier League 2 format of two divisions being abolished. This means that Tottenham’s Under-21s escape being relegated after finishing last season in the drop zone of Division 1. The 25 teams will be ranked into five pots, playing each team in the pot, plus games against four or five teams from other pots making 20 games in the season rather than the 26 Spurs had to play last season. With no promotion or relegation, it is hoped that player development will be improved rather than there being an onus on gaining points. The top 16 teams then play a knock-out tournament at the end of the season.

Al Ittihad – a Saudi Arabian club – are supposedly planning a £51 million offer for Heung-Min Son, although the Daily Express reckon Tottenham will not be interested in losing the South Korean striker.
Atletico Madrid are the latest club to be interested in buying Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
Gambian striker Adama Bojang of Steve Biko FC is a transfer target for Tottenham, Liverpool, Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Wolverhampton Wanders, with the 6′ 3″ 19 year old priced at £2.3 million.
- INTERNATIONALS : – Cristian Romero played all of Argentina’s 2-0 away win in Indonesia against the home country’s national team scoring one of the goals set up by Giovani Lo Celso, who also played the whole match.
Harry Kane scored twice in the 74 minutes of England’s 7-0 Euro 2024 victory over North Macedonia at Old Trafford tonight. Harry’s second goal was his 50th as England captain.
Troy Parrott came off the bench in the 58th minute for Republic of Ireland in their 3-0 win in a Euro 2024 qualifier against Gibraltar in Dublin tonight.
Turkey beat Wales 2-0 in Samsun tonight in their Euro 2024 qualifying match, with Joe Rodon playing the whole match.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg played all of Denmark’s 1-1 away draw in Slovenia in their European Championship qualifier tonight.

- TRANSFER RUMOURS : – FC Porto’s 26 year old winger Pepe is at the centre of a battle between Spurs and Paris Saint Germain for his signing, with Tottenham already claimed to have made a move for the Brazilian.
A story today claims Spurs could make a late move for Villarreal striker Nicolas Jackson, with the 21 year old Senegal international having a £34 million release clause.
Barcelona are reported to be interested in signing Pedro Porro.

A rumour links former French Under-21 international Maxence Caqueret with an interest from Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund. The report claims that the 23 year old Olympique Lyonnais midfielder could leave the club if a suitable offer was received.

Lucas Moura leaves the club on the expiry of his contract, while Jamie Bowden, Romaine Mundle, Malachi Fagan-Walcott, Kallum Cesay, Marqes Muir, Roshaun Mathurin, Thomas Bloxham, Brandon Bryan-Waugh and Riley Owen have left the club following the expiry of their contracts.
