The famous DC Thomson printer of comics issued a series of Stand-Up Footballers in 1923 in their “Rover” comic.
\nThere were 11 footballers from across England, Wales and Scotland in the selection for the set of cards that stood 119 mm high and 91mm wide.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Charlie Walters was the only Tottenham player chosen for the set and his card was included in issue No. 53 of “Rover” – dated 3rd March 1923<\/span>.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

The company issued another series of Stand-up Footballers in 1970 in their “Hotspur” comic.<\/span><\/p>\n

The second part of the series entitled “Stoppers” included cards featuring
\nPat Jennings and Mike England (included in issue no. 569 – dated 12 September 1970).<\/span><\/p>\n
