1921 Tottenham met Wolves in the FA Cup Final to be played at Chelsea’s ground in front of King George V.  A thunderstorm just prior to kick-off left the pitch a muddy mess and a mazy run from 45 yards out by Jimmy Dimmock (quite a feat on the rain soaked pitch) ended with a shot that skidded past the keeper to give Spurs victory.
